Piraeus Bank was founded in 1916 and is one of Greece's four systemic banks.
It lends in three ways: fixed for 10 to 30 years, mixed (fixed for 3 to 30 years, then floating) or floating on 1-month Euribor. Terms go up to 35 years.
For a main home it normally lends up to 80%, and up to 90% for loans up to €500,000 under conditions. It is also one of the few banks that lend in Swiss francs, dollars or pounds, for people paid in those currencies.
Three kinds of rate
Fixed, mixed or floating, so you choose how much certainty you want.
Terms up to 35 years
A smaller monthly payment, with more time to repay.
Up to 90% financing
For a main home and loans up to €500,000, under conditions.
Foreign-currency loans
In CHF, USD or GBP for people paid in them, so the payment doesn't move with the exchange rate.
1-month Euribor
Floating follows rate changes faster, both up and down.
