Alpha Bank mortgages
Alpha Bank has operated since 1879 and is one of Greece's four systemic banks.
For mortgages it keeps things simple: one programme, «Alpha Home», to buy, build or renovate a home. You choose a rate fixed for 1 to 20 years at the start, or floating on 3-month Euribor, and for a main home it lends up to 90% of the value.
For a main home Alpha Bank gives an extra discount on the fixed rate, largest on the 3-year fixed, and charges the rate of its best financing band. If the home is energy class A or A+, the rate drops a little further.
